Dominic's Birthday - Day one in Glasgow and jet lag was still our companion. We made the most of the Glasgow City Tour bus, which provides us an armchair view of the sights. IMG_0180.jpg IMG_0196.jpg Guess what? We got sun burnt! The Wedgies (Glaswegians) were doing cartwheels in the streets – it was 23 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Following lunch in Merchant City, central Glasgow, IMG_0199.jpg we visited the Peoples Palace and Winter Garden, a Museum which features the history of Glasgow's people, how they've lived, worked and played. Debbie and Paul, our Glasgow hosts put on a BBQ to celebrate Dominic's 10th birthday. IMG_0243.jpg IMG_0268.jpg It was warm enough to fill the wading pool and the kids had a ball. IMG_0241.jpg The long summer evenings are delightful with the sun setting after 10.30.

Doctor Who! - Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, Glasgow's largest museum set in landscaped gardens, currently features a fantastic Doctor Who exhibition - the highlight of the trip so far. IMG_4169.jpg IMG_4168.jpg An audio visual extravaganza, displaying many of the props and character costumes used in filming the series, so life-like it scared Oliver so much that he wouldn't go in. Luckily we lied about his age and didn't have to pay for his ticket. Daddy's patience was tested looking after Oliver while Mummy and the older boys went through the exhibition. We stayed for lunch, Dominic enjoyed the pipe organ demonstration and the knights display with real armour. Julian loved the Art Gallery and was very excited to see works from the artists he had learnt about at school – Van Gogh, Monet & Renoir. Daddy got some “me” time in the afternoon and hit the Glasgow shops.
After the Transport Museum on Thursday IMG_4278.jpg IMG_4281.jpg Mummy went exploring by herself having lunch in the famous deco style Willow Tea Rooms designed by Rennie McIntosh and also hitting a few shops. IMG_4293.jpg IMG_4289.jpg
All the while the sun kept shining......

We are jealous about the Doctor Who exhibition! We'd love to see being Dr Who junkies.
And Ruby would like to say that she was on Stateline Friday night playing the cello at the Opera House.
Enjoy Luv Rach & Ruby

I want to know why Angela does not appear in any photos to date. Did Andrew sell her into white slavery and leave her behind in Dubai? Please provide proof of life.
